Exchange ActiveSync and Tasks New Tech 03-09-2006

I have a user with a new Sprint PPC-6700.
I have an Exchange 2003 cluster with SP2.

My user's Outlook Tasks will not sync when using Exchange ActiveSync. The
Task check box is selected. Email, Contacts and Calendar sync as expected.

When using a desktop connection and ActiveSync 4.1 on the PC it will sync
tasks as expected.

Called Sprint and got nowhere.

Can anyone give me any tips or info to get the Tasks syncing via wireless
sync?

Thanks,

I am not a MS representitive but your problem is because that function is,
what I have read, only available after the phone has the messaging and
security feature pack installed. I have no idea when or where MS is going to
make this available. I am on this site trying to find anyone asking the same
question. Don't ask your carrier because they will respond with "messaging
what?". For now you will have to sync tasks with the desktop instead of
Exchange.

Your phone will not have "direct push" with out it either. Hope this helps.

I WISH MS WOULD GIVE MORE INFO ON THIS!! You want us to push and sell this
to our customers but omit the simplist details to get the customer up and
running!

I'm not a MS rep either but this is not an MS problem. MS have released the
MSFP ages ago and it is now up to the mobile operators to release the
update!

To add to the "no use" replys!.
I can't see how the MSFP release will change anything to do with syncing
Tasks.

If you are syncing e-mail with Exchange OK, then there is nothing wrong with
the connection. It must be an error in the Tasks area.
But, if you are syncing tasks OK with Outlook, which then syncs itself with
Exchange, it doesn't sound as though there is a problem.

I would try:
- Move all tasks to a sub-folder
- Sync up via Outlook (which should clear the device)
- Move tasks back in again one at a time, and sync via Exchange.
- Make sure that the ones and twos sync OK, before moving in larger
numbers.

Has someone found a solution for this?
We're having the exact same situation here:
ActiveSyncing calendar, emails and contacts works, but the tasks get simply
ignored. No errors, no log entry or other message.
Exchange 2003 with SP2, QTEK 9100 with Sec Feature Pack.

Any hints or news on this would be great!
