I've installed WDS but get a weird warning message, Outlook Express could
not be started. The application was unable to open the Outlook Express
message store. Your computer may be out of memory or your disk is full.
Contact Microsoft support for further assistance (0x80004005, 183)

My PC has 1.2 GB RAM with 600 MB available. Does this app need more than 600
MB RAM. Sounds like a Microsoft (PIG) App :)
My PC has a 125 GB Hard disk with 40 GB available. Does this app need more
than 40 GB. Again Sounds like a Microsoft (PIG) App :)

What is odd is Outlook Express is running. My understanding is that it is
necessary for OE to be open for WDS to index it.

So what does this message mean?

Here is one for the record books:

I was able to reach Microsoft Support and after connecting to my PC and
discussing what I had tried, they called me back and gave their
recommendation:

Remove Windows Desktop Search and install Google Desktop Search.
