Hello all and thanks in advance. I'd like to set a group policy to
automatically kick in the screensaver after a set interval of inactivity on
my server no matter who's logged on (say 15 minutes). I know this setting is
in "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Desktop" for a machine, but I'd like this
to take effect domain-wide and be built when they logon, what policy should I
be looking at setting?

Hi,

Open Group Policy and go to User Configuration. Here go to Administrative
Templates, Control Panel, Display. Double click on the policy named "Screen
Saver timeout" and configure it -- e.g. enter 15 minutes timeout.

In the same policy area, you will need to set the screen saver name as well
or the timeout won't take effect. Also, set the "Password Protected"
policy.

Thanks Miha,
One question, is there a registry entry that does this setting? (I'm
creating an INF file that will be used to import these settings)

Can you explain a bit more? Why do you want to do the import? Why not simply
configure a group policy that would (re)configure computers in domain (or
OU)?
