Star dunes are formed when strong winds
blow from several different directions.
I.e., no prevailing wind direction is experienced in the area,
but there are some recurrent wind directions.

David Jones remade himself into Ziggy Stardust,
possibly inspired to do so by Martian spiders, so check out
the earlier part of the body of work of David Bowie.
