 I am really lost. I downloaded several pictures from my Kodak digital camera
to my C drive. They appeared to have all saved (message popped up that 'xxx
was saved to c:\xxx). I deleted all the pics from my camera and then went to
my drive only to discover they never saved. I tried re-downloading, but
since the pics were deleted when I downloaded, there is nothing left in the
memory card. This happened Friday and today (Sunday) I finally located the
file names I used. They are in my history files, but now it tells me they
are 'temporary internet files' and when I attempt to open them, it states:
'file ///C:/Pictures...jpg The specified path does not exist. Check path and
try again." How can I restore my pictures??? Please help. Thanks, All!

 Unless you did something differently, the pictures should be saved by
default to C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserNameMy Documents\My Pictures in
the format you saved them. If not there, or perhaps you changed something,
try doing a Search in Windows Explorer using the default numbering/naming
system your camera uses,

Were you paying attention when it said "saving to C:\xxx"? That's where your
pictures should be. Where WAS C:\xxx anyhow?

If they aren't there then you probably don't have them.

If you really can't find them...

I've not tried this recovery program (so I don't know if it has adware or
not) but it looks interesting..
