I have ActiveSync 4.5.0 (Build 5096). When I plug my pocketpc into the
cradle, my PC beeps. I don't want the beep but I also don't want to
turn off my speakers. In Sounds and Audio Devices Properties, on the
Sounds tab I have the No Sounds scheme selected. When I look at the
Microsoft ActiveSync events, they claim that there is no sound! But
still it beeps! Any idea why? I've uninstalled and reinstalled
ActiveSync several times and it still beeps.

Maybe - make empty wav-files (in wav-editor): pegconn.wav and pegdisc.wav
(44 bytes).
And replace its in C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync :-)

begin 666 pegdisc.wav
L4DE&1B0```!7059%9FUT(! ````!``$`1*P``$2L```!``@`9&%T80``````
`
end

begin 666 pegconn.wav

`
end

Thank you, Sergey. An excellent idea that works well. Doesn't explain
why No Sound scheme doesn't work, but then with this trick I really
don't care.

Thank you again.
