Hello,
I just completed setting up MCE pc and hooked it up to my home theatre
system via the SPDIF output of my audio card.
Sound is pretty good and when I play DVD's I can see that Windows Media
Player recognize the DVD as Dolby Digital.
However my reciever doesn't recognize the source as Dolby Digital.
When I connect a DVD player to the same input, with the same DVD, my
reciever then switch to Dolby Digital.
I read on the MS site that I need to configure the MCE decoder through
Settings > DVD > Audio
However when I click on Audio... I get a message saying "Not Designed For
TV". When I click on it, I only get a small blibk and the screen is back to
the DVD setup.
Am I missing a decoder that needs to be installed separately? Where can I
get one?
I would appreciate any advice.
Thanks,
Eyal
