Hello, I know this has been asked a dozen times before so I will point out
the following:

My driver is up to date, I do have an MPEG-1/2/4 support for analog and 2
for digital, and I have every codec known to man, I use CCCP.

I am running a Toshiba Satlite U305-s107, dual core, Vista Home Premium, two
gigs of ram, and my tuner card is AVer Media- AverTV Hubrid NanoExpress (HC82
ATSC).

So, it says that I only have an antenna signal, but all I have is a cable
plugged in. I have spent the past two hours messing around with WMC trying to
get it to understand that I want it to go cable and it refuses to detect the
cable connection. Any help would be greatly appreciated, you can have the
digital last piece of my birthday cake if you can figure out why it is wonky!
^_^ Thanks in advance!

I suspect that you hybrid tuner uses software encoding to encode analog TV
since it supports multiple software encoding schemes which means that it
does not have a hardware encoder chip normally required for support in MC.
Also MC can only support one tuner on a hybrid tuner card since both tuners
can not be used concurrently. Also tuners do not the difference between
analog cable signals and and analog antenna signals since they both supply
RF TV signals meeting the same NTSC RF SD 480i video,

So, does this mean I should go into the card itself and disable everything
but the cable tuner (if I can)?

Ok, I just checked (sorry for the double reply) and it appears that specific
components cannot be disabled. It does, and I think this is worth noting,
work with the software provided, however if I plug in my external monitor it
does not play the video which is why I am trying to get WMC to work.

Your tuner does not have hardware MPEG 2 and requires a software encoder
for analog tuning. If you have a mess of different codec on your system that
may have something to do with your analog encoding not functioning properly.
At the very least the analog tuner should work in Avermedia software, if it
doesn't then you may need to remove existing codec packs and reinstall the
avermedia software to get the encoder working.
