Does Vista come with IE7 and no way to get IE6 on the thing? If this is
true, my predictions for fewer migrating to Vista is going to be worse
than I ever imagined.

Yes it has IE7 and it cannot be removed and replaced by IE6. I agree it
is one of many reasons not to "upgrade" to Vista anytime soon.

My Dad said he hates IE7 as well, but with my limited experience using it on
his machine, it didn't seem so bad. What's so horrible about IE7? Other than
the quite usual security disasters like every other IE release that is.

Well compared to Mozilla Firefox its rather slow, abit bland, not as
secure and freezes more often.

Fine, but compared to IE6 it's a lot more standards complaint, has more
features (e.g., doesn't truncate web pages when printing, has tabbed browsing,
phishing filter, etc.), is no slower and freezes no more often. That's what
the vast majority of people are going to be comparing it to...
