I get a message that my disk is full--in fact I can't play tv because the
disk is full. However, when I look for recorded tv shows only one is
displayed. It appears as if they have all been deleted; however, they are
still on the disk and have not been erased at the operating system level.
What do I need to do to recover the shows I want to save and delete the
others so that I can get the disk space that I need back.

Thanks, in advance, for advice.

Search for files with the name *.dvr-ms - this should point you to the
directory that contains the recorded tv shows. From there you can use
Explorer to move or copy or delete them like any other file.

Are you looking at the recorded tv listing inside Media Center? If so, try
going to the Recorded TV Folder with Windows Explorer to see if they are
still there.
