Disappearing task bar and windows gman219 06-22-2008

 Whenever I try to open My Documents or My Computer the window will pop up for
a couple of seconds then it, the taskbar, and desktop icons disappear. I
tried system restore but it didn't have an entry that was before my problem
started.

It did work for by letting me use the explorer window for a couple more
seconds but still disappears.
