Hi,
I'm curious about a new problem we've had on a Advent laptop, it's
around 3 months old, 1GB ram, windows Vista Home Premium. On starting
up this evening the screen is not as bright as usual (it looks like
it's on battery even though it's showing that it's connected to the
mains). I've read about inverter problems or backlight problems which
almost fit here, however the pointer (mouse pointer/cursor) is still
very bright - i.e. it's really really bright white against the screen.
Does this sound like a setting I'm missing or a hardware problem?
