Hello. I am having trouble getting a dial-up connection working on my
Audiovox SMT 5600. As a test, I set the access number to my home phone and
my home phone doesn't even ring. So, for some reason my phone displays
"Error: Unable to place call" without even trying to dial. Any suggestions
are appreciated...

Thanks,
Mike

Is your SIM data enabled?

Thanks for your help...

I was able to enable data on my SIM. Now, if I use a dial-up connection to
call my home phone, it does ring. But, I am still getting the same error
message when I try to dial my ISP. Is there a way to get a better error
message so I can get an idea about why it is failing?

Thanks,
Mike
