Hello all,

I was wondering if anybody else has had any luck setting up a linked
server in SQL Server to the MSN Desktop Search index, so searches could
be done through Query Analyzer?

I have successfully done this with the MS Indexing Service, but am
having a hard time with the MSN Desktop Search. I do notice when I try
to setup the linked server that I have a new Provider Name option after
installing MSN Desktop Search called Microsoft OLE DB provider for
RSSearch. I think this would be the provider name I would need to use,
but the Product Name and Data Source parameters I am unsure of.
Possibly "MyIndex" for Data Source?

Thank you for your help.

Brian
