Hi all:
I just re-installed MCE2005 and everything went fine until I started
re-installing some additional programs. At some point after installing
either eztune for my Gateway monitor or Adobe Reader 8.1 my desktop and start
menu icons switched from their normal symbol to little squares with a blue
band across the top and an arrow in the bottom left corner. To fix this,
first I tried un-installing the two programs and then deleting all the icons
and "sending new shortcuts to the desktop and start menu". The correct icons
were then displayed properly and functioned normally but any new icon added
to the desktop or start menu automatically still display with the wrong icon.
I then tried using system re-store to a point before I installed the two
programs that may have installed wrong but still have the same problem with
icons not displaying right. Is there a setting that will fix the problem?
