Running XPsp2 on a Dell Latitude D600. I have currently given up trying to
troubleshoot the Desktop Search public release. Not sure where the issue
lies, but at some point during the day the system hangs when I try to
initiate any new application. Currently open apps work fine. If I wait
the system seems to time out and things start to function again for a little
while. If I shut off Desktop Search the issue goes away. There is no high
CPU utilization during system hangs. Desktop Search is the most recent app
added to my system. Nothing has been installed after. The beta worked fine,
so I have gone back to the beta.

Thanks.

I am running windows 2000 and have the same problem. I had been using the
last beta with no issues then yesterday i decided to upgrade to the full
release, boy that was a mistake. I have the same lock up issue only when i
control alt delete and force a shut down it seems to shut down but hangs at a
blue screen. Looks good though and I do like the preview window.
