What are Desk Bar Shortcuts and how do you use them.

I keep getting a file association error when I click on them.

Thanks for any help.

Deskbar shortcuts are simply command like shortcuts to certain tasks
within Windows. For example to open MS word, type !word.
Have a look at:
http://search.msn.com.my/docs/toolbar.aspx?t=MSNTbar_CONC_AboutDeskbarShortcuts.htm
for a good explanation and tips on Deskbar shortcuts.

For the file association error, i'm not sure what you mean. Could be
that the shortcuts your creating don't use the proper syntax? Do you
have any examples?

David

Hrm... I just replied to the message but it doesn't seem to be showing
up.
Anyway, deskbar shortcuts are command like shortcuts to specific
'things' within Windows. For example you can use !word to open up MS
Word.
To find out more about shortcuts, go to:
http://search.msn.com.my/docs/toolbar.aspx?t=MSNTbar_CONC_AboutDeskbarShortcuts.htm

About your file association error, that probally has something to do
with the way you set up the shortcuts and the syntax you used. Can you
give any examples?

Cheers,
David

Thank you very much - the link help alot.

The problem was I didn't make any links, they were already there after
installing the tool bar. Out of all the links the only one that worked was
!calc.

All other links and even the "Click here to learn about desktop shortcuts"
gave me the following error.

"This file does not have a program associated with for performing this
action. Create an association in the Folder Options control panel." box to
pop up.

Thank you very much for the link.

Jeremy
