If I boot up while in the dock, then when I undock, the pc freezes.

If I boot up while NOT in the dock, then I can dock and undock as I
please.

Running XP SP1
Dell Precision M20

I switched out the hard drive with another M20 and the same thing
happens. It is not hardware related.

Dock had been replaced as well, same thing.
Only keyboard, mouse, and monitor are connected to the dock. Any ideas?

What "dock" are you referring to?

Dell brand, or third party?

I've got a Latitude x200, and in order for the computer to properly undock,
certain drivers are necessary. Otherwise, I receive an error message and/or
the keyboard and mouse fail to operate, properly.

Turns out that SP2 fixes this issue.
