When you say not working, does the sound not work when the driver is
installed, or does the driver not install,
If its the former then you could have a faulty motherboard and the only
option is to replace it , if its the latter then it could be an OS fault, I
have a 610 and did have a problem getting the right sound/video drivers for
Windows 2000 eventually I put XP on it and it worked fine, funny enough I
also have a C600 and had no issues with the drivers under 2K,
If oyu have access to XP try installing that and see if it works OK,
