The Dell 600m's manual states that it supports PC2100 and PC2700 DDR
SDRAM modules. Those memory modules run at speeds of 133MHz and
166MHz. It also shows the external bus frequency to be 400MHz. Does
this reflect the speed of the FSB? If so, wouldn't the laptop be able
to support a PC3200 RAM module that runs at 200MHz, with an effective
data rate of 400MT/s? I'm trying to think of reasons why the manual
would only recommend 133MHz and 166MHz memory speeds.
TIA
