There's a few ways to do that.
i)
Select the show that is in the series
Goto Series Info
Hit Cancel Series
ii)
from the mce start page
Recorded TV, Scheduled, Series
Select the series
Select Cancel Series
There are other ways to do it, but this is two examples of how to do it.
