The notion of Sync is to make sure that your items on both sides of the =
sync partnership are in the same state - you add an item on one side, it =
gets to the other side. You delete it on one side, it gets deleted on =
the other and so on. Currently, there is no option that allows you to =
delete your items on device side and have them stay on desktop/server =
side. You will have the items in the Deleted Items Folder on the =
server/desktop side but they will not remain in the original folder.
What if I turn the answer to a question - Why do you want to delete =
items on device side if you want them on the desktop end? is it becuase =
of storage? You can control the amount of emails you have on the device =
by setting the right age filter. if you say 3 days, you will have emails =
from the past 3 days only and as time ticks, emails that fall out of =
filter will be soft-deleted from your device without your knowledge =
while still remaining on the server/desktop side. If 3 days is a long =
time, change it to 1 :)
As for the Calendar items, By defualt the device syncs down calendar =
items in the past 2 weeks age filter. Please make sure that you have set =
the age filter associated with the calendar sync types appropriatelly. =
What you are seeign could happen if that age filter was set to NONE.
