Just started to get random delayed write errors with my Seagate external
firewire drives (300GB and 400GB). I'm been reading some older posts in
various forums about this but there didn't seem to be any definitive answer.
Has a cause or fix been found?
On a related note: in order to get my firewire drive up and visible again, I
simply unplugged and replugged the firewire cable. That worked, but now I
have the root of the drive showing up in My Videos (I already have all of
the folders added) and I can't delete it. This happened once before and I
stumbled on the way to get rid of it, but I can't remember it now.
