Version 3.01 has an advanced option to change the default location of
the index files.
But adding a new folder does not force the change.

I have also looked up this group on using NTFS Junction Points to
change the folder, but I assume this was a workaround prior to version
3.x?

Does anyone have advice on how I can force the change??

Is there perhaps a registry hack?

Or does anyone know any reason[s] why the advanced feature may not be
working on my system?
It does say change will take place after service is restarted, but I
have restarted windows, stopped the Windows Search service and
restarted various times without success.

I have also read that moving the indexes to the new folder will not
help, as re-indexing has to start from scratch??

Any help on these issues would be appreciated!!

If using Junction Points with Linkd.exe, remains the only option,
kindly advise on exact steps to move the point??

With thanks

JJ
