Is there a decent open source content management website script that will
interact with php5 without problems?
I think I've done the rounds only to find that my great host pagezone
updating to php5 has made it rather difficult to have a CMS script operate
under it without crashing on either an image gallery or a calander/event
module. I'm trying to put a site together for a non-nerd who needs to be
able to update content easily (ordinary page information) that can be easily
printed by users, an event/calender module and that's about it....
Can someone give me a suggestion other than
Mambo
Joomla
PhPsite
Phpnuke
Xoops
and most of the other run of the mill open source scripts that involve a
totally hands on approach by nerdy people to keep it operating.... also if
it is a reasonable cost script i may buy it if appropriate.

thanks guys/girls

plato

Left out PostNuke which is run of the mill, but works ok with PHP5,
problem is the newer the packages, the less modules and compatibility
there is. I do use postnuke and galleries and though have had issues
they do work and play well together. Check with other hosts to insure
you can get a config that works. Ask for a trial plan, smaller hosts
will offer a free 2 or 4 week trial, great way to kick the tires and
check out support.

Just for giggles... these sites have the same content are running PHP5
5.14 with Mysql 5.0.21 They have issues not related to the CMS but do
OK...
