In that case, AVOID anything to do with Microsoft/ASP.
If you're using OSX, Apache (web server) and PHP come pre-installed,
but require activating. You can also install the MySQL database package
and use these 3 components to build dynamic database driven websites on
your Mac. In the OSX (Unix) environment, you'll be able to test and run
any sites you produce locally on your own Mac before uploading them to
a hosting server.
I'd recommend the PHP and mySQL install packages from
http://www.entropy.ch/software/macosx/ - installation and setup
instructions are included on the relevant pages.

The technology on the server is entirely independent of the technology on
the development machine, except that you won't be able to use some
development tools (eg WebMatrix). Dreamweaver 2004 (which runs on the Mac)
will support ASP.net (although I've seen a thread this morning suggesting it
doesn't do it very well). If you're hand-coding, it's all the same. You
won't be running on a Mac server anyway! I doubt if you'll get better
suggestions without knowing which tools you intend to use. You may get more
useful answers in a Mac newsgroup.
