My brother forwarded me your e-mail (he's out of town for the next few
days).
Just want to confirm that you are seeing black border on all four sides
(top/bottom/left/right) and not just on either the sides or the top. Can
you take a screen shot (with Media Center in a windowed screen) so I can see
what it looks like? If it is indeed the former, I'm not sure what the
issue, while if it is the latter, you can use the zoom modes to mitigate the
black borders.
As for the stuttering...
What video card do you have
What CPU are you using
What DVD codec are you using?
