Hi all. I had a problem with a virus and malware, and in the midst of
cleaning it, started a live version of Ubuntu. However, i was unaware that
the Ubuntu took away 4 gigs of space from my C Drive. Since then, my DVDs
have stuttered and whenever I try to open Media Center, I get an error that
says ehome can't be opened. When I try to play those same DVDs under
MediaDirect (I have a Dell Laptop), the DVDs dont stutter. In addition,
burning backups of my DVDs has slowed from 30 min before the problem to over
2 hours afterward. When I try to mount an .iso with Poweriso, I get a driver
error. I have run System File Checker and still have the same problems.

In addition, when I try to install the latest Media Center Update, it says
it cannot update it because the program cannot be found. However, I have
replaced the folder with its original contents.

Sorry - it sounds like me that a backup and full system rebuild is the best
option.
