Hi,

I'm getting the following DCOM event after installing SP3 (RC). When it
occurs on bootup, it hangs the machine and a hard reboot is required. Does
anyone know of a solution? Thanks.

Event Type:        Error
Event Source:        DCOM
Event Category:        None
Event ID:        10016
Date:                12/20/2007
Time:                5:26:06 PM
User:                NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
Computer:        SYSTEM_MANAGER
Description:
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Launch
permission for the COM Server application with CLSID

to the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SID (S-1-5-18). This security permission
can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

You need to bug that in your Beta group. If this is a production WS in SBS
you should uninstall the Beta and not use it for production.

The user might not be part of a beta group per se, as the Windows XP SP3 RC
was released to the public.

Realize that I don't have a suggestion as to how to fix the problem... but
hopefully the OP does resolve the issue.
