Courses for secure architecture topology ? Pascal 10-11-2007

Hi,

I would like to know if some courses exist to explain every different
architecture system topology ?

Indeed, many times I can figure out that I want to increase the
security in different situations but I dont find any information on
Microsoft website.

So I am not directly asking a technical question but I would like to
find some documentations that explain every different topology that we
can think about (for example when do I have to use a DMZ, if I have a
domain authentication needed in this DMZ I can use ADAM, ADFS etc...)

I am searching for a while this kind of informations but with no
success.

Thanks a lot for your help

Microsoft and Sans offer network security training. There is not a
Microsoft Certified Architect Program for security at this time,
though there needs to be.

Thank you for this.

Do you know if there are some ebook available for GIAC certifications ?
(I havent seen any ebooks on the website and I would like to verify
that it is what I want :D).

The ebook from Microsoft is oriented for the 70-298 certification and
when I read some of ebooks about 70-298 certification, I never saw
anything about "production solutions" like reverse proxy, ADAM, ADFS
etc...

What I am searching for is a book that is take into consideration every
possible architecture that we can choose with a DMZ.

Thank you :)

And further, I doubt that any one course, book, expert, or other resource
could come up with a list of every different topology such that no
possibilities were left out. And, even then, it would be difficult to come
up with the one best security solution for each. I think the field is
sufficiently complex that the only way to secure a network is to seek to
continually increase your understanding of the concepts. To put it simply,
your question is somewhat like an aspiring writer asking for a list of all
possible plots so he can put his name on one.

I know what you mean so I am gonna try to specify a little bit what I
am searching for.

I would like to know the different ways for a server (web or not) in a
DMZ to use AD authentication.

After some reseaches and help, I have this :

I agree with you that there is not a common response and I have to read
a lot but the problem is that I dont find any ressources about
"architecture"

Thank you
