Thank you for this information. I have upgraded the Dash to WM6 and
there is no copy/paste feature. If I stay with WM I will upload
VITO's CopyPaste.

Windows Mobile is not at all sophisticated in its scheduler or contact
features, and it is cumbersome to input them. I think they must have
designed it to support Outlook rather than be the main scheduling/
contact source. I will either have to try some add-on software to
keep using it, or go back to the Palm for my schedule and contacts.

While the Dash is a slick little device, I can't say I'm overly impressed
with the Smartphone flavor of Windows Mobile (now called WM6 "Standard".)

Stylus-based Windows Mobile devices (formerly known as "Pocket PC
Phones," now "WM6 Professional") have far more capability built-in,
greater expansion capability via 3rd party software, and are less reliant
on a PC as a data-entry source.

Most of my contact and calendar data is entered on my PPC Phone and
eventually sync'd to my PC, rather than the other way around.

That's how I use my electronic planner also. I was not aware of how
pared down the calendar and contact list was. Does anyone have a
recommendation for add-on calendar/contact software? I'll be cutting
and pasting, rescheduling, and it has to be quicker than it is now.

There're several pretty good ones. I've nominated three titles for the
Awards 2007 process (see the nomination list at
http://www.pocketpcmag.com/awards/category_all_2007_newquery.asp#SPCatPIMs ):

Agenda One (Developer One, Inc., www.developerone.com)

eXtreme Agenda (Birdsoft, www.birdsoft.net)

Papyrus (SBSH Mobile Software, www.sbsh.net)

Maybe I'm reading the question wrong, but to cut and paste text just
highlight the text by moving the stylus across it and then hold the stylus
down to get the option to copy.

Holding the stylus down should give you the option to paste after you have
copied something.
