Hi all,

does anyone know of cooling solutions for a 17 inch Clevo widescreen
(model D480V) running Windows XP Pro?

I would prefer some sort of a cooling pad, particularly the type with
fans on it. Unfortunately I have not been able to find one that is wide
enough for this model.

A CPU cooler program would also be of interest, but they all seem to
utilize the HLT command which is already enabled by Windows XP...or
correct me if I'm wrong(?)

Thanks for any assistance,

JJ

Hi bobb,

no, it does not. The only one on it is the one that comes with Windows
XP.

I might be interested too. I have run a Clevo M27ES for the past 2.5 years
and I can state that they run flippin' hot! The CPU seems OK but the HDD
temp utility clocks the hard drive at between 52 and 55 degrees celsius
after running for a while. I tries a different utility and it gave the same
reading, so I guess it kosher. I thought drives got screwed around the 60
degree mark. Can anyone enlighten me on this? The machine runs perfectly and
has never given the slightest trouble, even with very heavy daily use.
