Hi all,

I just bought a Palm LifeDrive and think it's nearly the best thing since sliced
bread, particularly compared to my old Palm Tungsten T|T with faulty digitizer
and 5-way nav button.

I really like the photo and video viewing program and the way you just drop the
files into the manager program on the PC to convert them to a suitable format.
It would be nicer if it converted the images to 480x320 instead of 640x480
though - perhaps that's a user preference I haven't found yet.

I'm also loving the wifi and ability to surf the web without having to turn on
the desktop PC to look up a phone number, weather forecast, TV guide, etc.

Are there any essential or simply cool programs that you would recommend for the
LifeDrive? I've downloaded SharkCache to help with the microdrive lag based on
some good reviews.

Thanks for your comments.

Ben

Well, I can't really disagree. Being a bread lover, I find sliced bread to be
the stupidest Yankee invention ever. Almost as bad as the drive-up window.

If you like sliced bread then you will also like the LifeDrive. Otherwise...

I like my Lifedrive very much, thank you. If they would only fix that
damnable Versamail program.

Also, here in Louisiana we have drive-ups that serve daquiries.

I replaced Versamail with SnapperMail after the former lost all of my
mail whilst 50 miles away from my PC. Upset me slightly.

I may do just that. I have multiple accounts and Versamail always fails.
I have clients who use Versamail on their Treo 650s and have the same
trouble. At least they don't have it as regularly as I do.
