I want to control access to a VPN through a remote access policy. Even
though I have a native mode active directory domain, the selection to
"Control Access through Remote Access Policy" option in the Remote Access
Permission (Dial-in or VPN) section on the Dial-in tab of my user property
sheet withiing Active directory users and computers is unavailable (grayed
out). I have routing and remote access enabled and configured properly on
the server. Anybody have any ideas what my problem might be? The product is
Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition SP1.
Thanks

I have never seen it not be available in a native mode domain. Go to AD
Users and Computers, find your domain, right click and select raise domain
functional level to make sure it shows native or Windows Server 2003. If you
just made the change try rebooting your domain controllers starting with the
pdc fsmo to see if that helps and use Event Viewer to check the logs of the
domain controllers to see if any pertinent problems are found. If problems
persist run the support tools netdiag, dcdiag, and gpool on your domain
controllers looking for any problems that may be causing replication
problems in your domain. --- Steve
