Today my ActiveSync 4.5 started to continuously synchronize where as before
it would sync an on update when new info identified. I have reloaded active
sync but no success. Does anyone know of a solution to this problem.

Thanks ...

I've the same problem.

My ActiveSync4.5, on a XP Pro box, continuously syncronyze.
On my WindowsMobile 5 device, I don't find any option to specify when
to sync.

But I think the problem being something else. It started few days ago,
when I deleted a junk eMail message in my Outlook2007.
The junk filter embedded in OL2007 works perfectly, and 99.9% of junk
email are properly identified and they don't even appear in my inbox.
But that 0.1% of message happens, and few days ago I received ONE junk
message in my inbox. I deleted it immediately, dragging it into deleted
items (not junk items). I noticed that the device was syncronizing in
that exact moment.
From that day on, ActiveSync always shows "Mail 0/1" -> "Mail 1/1", and
then it loops again and again...
I think something is broken with message-id or something similar...

Does it exist a way to reset everything, with no loss of data
(everything is at the moment synchronized, so I'll be able to fully
reset data on mobile device with no loss of information, but I don't
know how to do it)?

Thanks you all.

I discovered that synchronization doesn't work, at least with my
combination of ActiveSync4.5+XPPro+WindowsMobile5+Outlook2007, for
SentItems containing a Meeting Request (you know, from inside the
calendar of Outlook 2007, when you click on "invite attendees" for an
appointment, a "SentItem eMail" is created).

Deleting it, everything works fine.

Bye
