Does anybody have any idea how Google handles content negotiation with
regards to Cloaking?

I intend to use Content Negotiation to serve different content to
different devices using the same URL. Will Google penalise my site for
cloaking or something similar?

I should point out that even though the URL will be the same, the
actual content (not just the styling) will be completely different.
The site will be for mobile devices and as such, whilst the theme/
purpose of the page will be the same as the PC version (i.e.
www.example.com/productsearch/ will be a product search form on any
device), the content will be very cut-down and succinct.

I've searched the web trying to find information about this but with
no luck.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

Don't use it.

Why are you doing this in the first place?

Why not have the information about the different devices on different
pages and serve them normally? Makes more sense and it removes any
shadow of suspicion over your site.
