What firewall program are you using, and have you tried disabling it prior
to downloading the needed codecs? Also, in Windows 2005 MCE you need to
have a DVD playback program such as WinDVD or PowerDVD to get TV working.

I use the Windows Firewall and AVG free antivirus.
When I try to install ActiveX i get this message:

Passed Active scripting allowed
Passed Display images enabled
Passed Computer time and date correct
Passed ActiveX enabled
Failed Windows validation ActiveX loaded
Failed Office validation ActiveX loaded
Failed Validation Self-help ActiveX loaded
