You might want to try futzing around with the reg key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media
Center\Settings\VideoSettings
The CC settings are all the values that start with CC.
Of course, make sure you have a backup of your registry in case you screw
things up beyond saving... and all the other usual registry caveats.
