I have turned on closed captioning for Live tv and recordings but all I
get are garbled and random letters on the bottom of the screen, when I'm
lucky. Most of the time it doesn't work at all. Is there a setting that
I'm missing somewhere?
I have the TV:Audio:Captions set to "On when Muted"

Stats:
HP Media Center PC m7060n
Intel 915 Graphics card
1 gig Ram

Every other part of Media Center working BEAUTIFULLY

Any help would be appreciated.

Rach

I have the same problem with my HP media center PC.

I went back to store and checked other HP media center PCs on display,
they all have the same problem.

Called HP support, they are useless.

The only TV card I know that produce decent CC is ATI's Elite 550,
however, HP don't use those cards. They use Hauppauge or Asus which all
have the CC problem.
