Please log in for more thread options The Media Center (at least music database..haven't tried pics or anything
else) is shared/driven from the Windows Media Player.
1 - Remove folders from Music in Media Center by selecting My Music->Add
Music (right click)->Remove folders. Remove all...you can always add them
back in.
2 - Close Media Center
3 - Open Windows Media Player (not Center).
4 - Removed all music from the database (or at least that which has moved)
by selecting them it the list and choosing delete from library (this is a
little tedious). Once my music all cleared out, add it back in (from the new
location/drive) by clicking on add to library (near the bottom left of the
display). How long it takes, of course, depends on your music collection..
Then try playing some music to verify it works.
5 - Close the Media Player
6 - Open Media Center and go to My Music->Add Music (right click)->Add
folders and then add in your new music folders.
7 - all should be good to go now....but if not...close everything and
reopen....
Not the best designed software!!!!
