The update enables direct push wireless e-mail and has a new connection
manager screen. I will post back here if I find more stuff. Warning the
update does wipe out all the data and applications on the phone so don't do
the update unless you have time to reinstall.

Aside from direct push (which, if I'm reading correctly, is only
applicable for those running Exchange; I am not), do you think it is a
valuable upgrade? E.g., the new connection manager screen, do you
consider it valuable?

I didn't see a changelog anywhere, so I couldn't tell if it fixed any
bugs or corrected any known deficiencies...

I have to weigh whether or not I want to spend time backing up and then
restoring settings/apps.

Thanks for posting a note about this update!

Josh, if I did not have access to Exchange and the direct push mail I
probably would not have done the upgrade. Aside from the new connection
manager (which looks different but functionality is not dramtically changed)
and push mail I have noticed no real changes. I have heard some people
complaining about issues entering text messages, but I have not seen that.
