Exchange Server is 2003 SP2 on SBS2K3;
SSL is NOT enabled on ActiveSynch or OMA Virtual Directories.

Device cannot ActiveSynch via either USB or Wireless.

Help needed please.

Hi,
Did you install vxutil from www.cam.com and confirm you can lookup the
Exchange server by the external name?

Thanks for the comeback Chris.

I've no idea what vxutil is, what www.cam.com is,
or where this is to be installed. This is just a bolt
out of the blue for me.

Yes, the server hosting Exchange is visible on the LAN.
(I'm not sure of the context you had in mind here.)

Thanks for your reply,
-AS

Chris,

It appears that there's some PORT that needs opening on the WAN side.
I can synch using the LAN address of the server but not the WAN address.
I currently have the following TCP ports open:
25,80,443,444,1723,3389,4125, 4500.
Is there some other (list of) ports required for ActiveSynch?

Thanks,
-AS

Hi,
ActiveSync only requires port 443. However the port will change randomly
after the connection is established.
