Anybody know what to do about the "Low Memory error", you get
. I have a 512 memory card in it and have almost everything extra on the 512
except the operating system. The phone has 64gb in itself. I cannot even
send an MMS.

I have a 512 MB disk for storage. I have that almost full of Videos and
PowerPoint presentations. I have hardly any programs on the phone itself. No
Midglets, No pictures or Music. In Fact, I have less on the phone itself
than when I first bought the phone. I deleted a lot of pictures and sample
pictures. When I try and send an MMS, I get this "There is not enough free
space for message sending. Please free up some space and try again. "I have
deleted all I can except delete the operating system off the original drive.
Is there virtual memory taking up space or is there some files that I
deleted that I cannot see and are hidden? Or is it best just to restore to
the original settings. But if I would do that, is this going to happen
again?

This is a terrible, terrible problem that really should have been
addressed before the phone was released. At the very least, an error
message with some information about HOW to delete and WHAT to delete
should have been included.

Here is how I had to work around the problem (almost constantly):
1. Check the "Application Data" folder, make sure there aren't any
programs storing files there (Virtual Earth, for example, will fill
your tiny memory in no time at all if you don't tell it to use the
Storage Card for this).

(These are the steps I had to repeat almost every time I tried to send
an MMS: )
2. Delete all MMS items in your inbox.(be sure to save the attachments
first)
3. Switch folders to your MMS Sent box. Delete all Sent items (be sure
to save the attachments first)
4. Switch folders to your Deleted box. Empty folder.
5. Open IE.
6 Tools > Options > Memory. Clear the temporary internet items (I
never cleared my history or cookies)

Steps 2-6 above almost always worked.

Having to go through that every time, though, was simply unacceptable.
I switched to a Cingular 8125 yesterday, I'll know in a couple days if
it is any better.
