Hi guys,

I still ain't figured out how to do this, and I need to do it before
adding my second Jornada and my HP hx4700 into the system.

There seem to be nowhere on the actual box that appears when you
launch ActiveSync to change the name, and Chris said to look in
'Control Panel' (I am using Windows XP Pro SP2) and I can't find
anything in there at all relating to ActiveSync :-(

Basically I want to change say the "Pocket_PC" name to something like
"hp2210"... I am now frustrated at not being able to do this as I want
to put stuff on my brand new hx4700.

I don't remeber when it wanted to set up the partenership that there
was any opption to change the name at that point either.

Could someone give 'step by step' instructions please ?

PLEASE HELP !

Thanks in advanced

Hi Steve,

To change the device name - Tap Start -> Settings-> System -> About ->
Device ID and then perform a sync.

Hi Raj,

BIG, BIG Thank You !

It is easy when you know how ....

I have renamed the first one from "Pocket_PC" to "HP_h2210" !!!

I will now rename the computers (I will be using 4) so I know which
one is which.

Once again, many thanks !

Regards,

Steve
