 I have a new Cingular 3125 and was wondering if anyone knows how to change
the recording settings of voice attachments.

I like to send small voice replies to emails while I am on the road but the
wav files generated seem to be very large for the short duration.

So far I have been unable to locate any place to change the default settings
for the voice recorder.

 on the ppc you can select the wav codec and quality at

start/settings/input/options

In addition google for smartphone recorder... there are several mp3
voice recorders for the ppc so there might be one or more for smartphone.

in addition, the pda2k is a pocketpc "phone_edition" rather than a
smartphone (different interface) so suggest followup questions be posted at

Beverly, the Cingular 3125 is a SmartPhone not a PPC. You may be thinking
of the Cingular 8125.

The PPC is simple to change the settings for wav files, but I can not find
the same settings on a SmartPhone.

Windows Moble 5.

looks like the grey cells are rapidly going south... was trying to post
