Currently activesync is set to update my pda from my desktop pc. However,
the data in my calendar on the desktop is corrupt and I would like to send
the data from my pda back to the desktop pc. Can I do this, and if so, how
do I do it? My version of Activesync is 3.8; Windows XP; Outlook 2003.
Thank you so much.

Hi,
First, be careful. If you have deleted the calendar items on the desktop,
it will delete them on the device the next time you sync. I would consider
a backup before synchronizing.

The best way to guarantee that you will be able to get the data from the
device to the PC is to delete the partnership in ActiveSync (File - Delete
Partnership) then the system will prompt you to combine or replace the data
. Choose the option to combine - you may end up with duplicate contacts
however all the calendar items on the device will be copied Be careful
because the deletion of the partnership will also delete the backup you
created.

Also, FYI, the default for the Calendar is not to sync all items so you
still may not have all your appointments.

Thanks Chris, I will try this. Should I back up the file .pst another drive
before I delete the partnership? Will that protect the backup? Also, the
reason the data seems corrupt is that as of March 14, all reoccuring events
appear with clocks and spread over several days. I've checked all th
settings, and everything is ok. I've read something about the new Daylight
savings being an issue. Do you know anything about that? Thanks so much for
your help thus far, I really appreciate your time. ddlaz

Hi,
I would suggest storing the PST file in another directory or on another
drive. Also I'd copy the backup of the device there too.

On the daylight savings time issue, Microsoft has a patch. See
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/daylightsaving/default.mspx.
