I can't uninstall Windows Desktop Search.

I had see the "Windows Desktop Search Administration Guide"
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/windows/search/dtsguide.mspx,
the mistake of me is "When you use Add or Remove Programs, make sure that you
select the Show Updates option and uninstall the newest product or product
updates first."

That is, I wrongly select the root WDS (KB907371) item to uninstall, but it
ask me to "kill" it (maybe it feels it is not present), then I select to kill
the uninstall item... Then I uninstall the child item WDS (KB907371-V2), it
uninstall successfully... But the folder of C:\Program Files\Windows Desktop
Search is still there, and Windows Desktop Search is running... I think the
V2 uninstaller restore to non-V2 version, and I lost the non-V2 version
uninstaller.

I had tried many ways, including reinstall then uninstall, kill "C:\Program
Files\Windows Desktop Search", kill "C:\Windows$NtUninstallKB911993\*" but
leave "spuninst\*" then uninstall, kill the items in
"spuninst\spuninst.txt/inf" of file/registry entry then uninstall... And find
product code but the registry is not there... Newer setup is all exe, extract
and cannot find any msi to do "msiexec /x". I had tried run "setup.exe
/nobackup"...

Currently it still run with 2.6.5.5378, there are no any uninstall item. The
only exist related folder "C:\WINDOWS$NtUninstallKB907371$" exists, but run
spuninst.exe it says newer version must be uninstall first. In registry
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows Desktop Search\SP0" it
shows there are "KB907371", "KB907371-V2" and "KB922993-V2".

And now I want install Windows Live Toolbar, it shows:

The MSN Search Toolbar Suite has been detected on this computer. Your old
toolbar preferences will be preserved for the new toolbar, but Windows
Desktop Search will be removed.

Click OK, then show:

The installation was interrupted. No changes were made to your computer
system. Please try running this again. Click the Finish button to close this
wizard.

Then the installation abort.

I think the problem is in Windows Desktop Search. So please help me to
resolve the uninstall problem.
