Can't Remove Windows Desktop Search - help please LDA 03-15-2006

 I'm sure there are previous entries here regarding uninstalling WDS, but
after having tried all the remedies posted here, I can't uninstall it. It
doesn't show up in Add/Remove programs or Windows Installer Cleanup. Any
help would be appreciated.

 It is installed with the 'MSN Toolbar'. That is what you need to remove.

I'm afraid not. I have the beta version of WDS 2.6.5

I just downloaded and installed the 2.6.5 beta dated 3/8/06 and it shows up
in my Add\Remove. You might try downloading it again and reinstall and
hopefully it will show up for you so you can then remove it.

The Administrators guide for WDS has been updated for 2.6.5 and has a
section on how to uninstall WDS. I can't speak for the toolbar but this may
be helpful to you....
