I have been connecting my PocketPC (XDA Exec = I-Mate Jasjar) to my laptop
(running Windows XP Professional SP2) using Bluetooth for over a year
without any problem and now I can't connect anymore. It still works with
the cable.
I have reset the pocket PC, rebooted the laptop, erased and recreated the
PPC in the laptop Bluetooth devices and did the same for the laptop in the
PPC Bluetooth devices, established a new partnership between PPC and PC,
removed the COM7 port and created a new one. No way.
If I click on the PPC connect via Bluetooth, I get the message: cannot find
and existing Bluetooth partnership.....would you like to set up a
partnership now? I reply Yes and create a new one but still I get the same
message.
I thought about deleting the mobile device to recreate it but I read in the
warning that if I did that all my PPC data would be removed from the PPC
next time I would connect so I did not.

Silly question, but what has changed since it last worked? Have you
installed any new software, critical updates, service packs etc... Might
help narrow down the cause of the problem if you can remember what has
changed.

Please log in for more thread options No, it is not silly at all. Of course, I have raked my brains on this
question without finding an answer. I backup every other day or 3 days at
most and indeed lots of things change in my laptop in between but I can't
pinpoint any unusual update/upgrade.
