Hi
We need a cheap-ish place to host a PROTOTYPE website.
We're going to need php + mysql, but we're going to need
to have more control such as root SSH access.
Any ISP recommendations ?
For now this is just a prototype, and it will NOT get hammered with
traffic. But we do need an outfit that is efficient and reliable.

If you need root ssh access, you're looking at a VPS or dedicated/colo
server. I've used both jvds and powervps and been happy with both.

Prototype? Why not on your own LAN ?

Good question.
But it is a small social network, and about 20 people in different
parts on the
planet will need access to it.
i.e. it needs to be accessible through the web.
